As you know, I love asking thought-provoking questions. Today I would like to ask you: when did you stop growing? You reached your adult height at puberty, but did you know that your growth continues throughout your life?
We are constantly growing and rebuilding ourselves. So it's never too late to do well, because you are always growing and rebuilding.
We often talk about foods in terms of calories, but in reality, foods are CODES that send signals through your body to rebuild you and activate your systems. Food is like a fire in the fireplace. The flame represents the calories, but the quality of the heat depends on the fuel. Hardwood that burns slowly will produce a more comforting heat than newspaper or damp wood. That's the difference between 100 calories of chips and 100 calories of an apple.
When you eat, food immediately sends signals to your body, your cells, your good bacteria and your hormones. These messages can be positive or negative depending on what you consume.
For example, did you know that your bones completely regenerate several times during your life? Every ten years or so, your bones are almost completely renewed. Do you prefer bones made from chips or fresh chicken?
Your digestive system, your liver, your skin and many other organs are renewed every day. Cell division is influenced by what you eat. Do you want beautiful skin made from donuts or fresh strawberries?
Your brain, connected to your digestive system by the vagus nerve, is also influenced by your diet. What you eat directly impacts your mental well-being. Food influences the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin and GABA, the “happy hormones”. Do you prefer a mood influenced by frozen pizza or by beautiful vegetables and fresh proteins?
By nourishing your body with the right foods, you promote your physical growth and mental well-being. Remember that every day you have the opportunity to renew yourself and become a better version of yourself. You are constantly evolving, and it never stops!
